National Library Week was celebrated with great enthusiasm and active participation at PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Vijayawada, under the guidance of Shri Sumit Sharma, the Pustkalya Adhyaksh. The week-long celebration, held from 15 TO 20 TH NOVEMBER, aimed to highlight the importance of libraries in fostering a love for reading and promoting lifelong learning among students and staff.

with a formal inauguration by the Principal Sir Dr. Pvsss Krishna sir who emphasized the vital role of libraries in
education. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of a special exhibition
featuring rare and inspiring books.
· Book Exhibition:
A curated display of books covering a variety of genres and topics attracted
readers of all ages. Students and staff explored literature, science, history,
and fiction, which broadened their horizons.
· Competitions and
Activities:
- Book Review Competition:
Students presented reviews of their favourite books, showcasing their
critical thinking and creativity.
- Quiz Contest: A lively quiz
tested participants' knowledge of literature, authors, and general
awareness about libraries.
- Storytelling Session: Younger
students participated in an engaging storytelling session that sparked
their imagination.

celebration not only enriched students' love for books but also strengthened
their appreciation for the library as a treasure trove of knowledge. The
